Club Tech's Digital Arts Festivals celebrate members’ creativity and ability in five areas: Web Design, Graphic Design, Photo Illustration, Music Making and Movie Making. Each uses one of the five Digital Arts Suite computer programs that correspond to competition areas.

This School Year's Hot Topic is "In the News"
Artwork is to be created around the theme “In the News.” This year’s festivals recognize the critical role media outlets play in sharing and accessing information, with entries for each festival taking on a specific
aspect of this theme:

• Photo Illustration: Using an existing photograph or shooting your own, manipulate it to represent a current event and then write a caption explaining the photo.
• Music Making: Create theme music that could accompany a local or national newscast.
• Movie Making: Write a screenplay for or film a newscast or report “from the field” to convey the news from your local Club or community.
• Web Design: Create a Web site in the style of a news Web site such as usatoday.com to present the latest news or current events from your Club.

• Graphic Design: Using a magazine such as Time or Newsweek as inspiration, participants create a news magazine cover to deliver their Club news.
