The boys and girls club in the past used to be called the boys club,   because it was originally intended for boys.  Ron Loney  was the executive director, of this club for almost thirty yrs.. The real name of this building  is the Ron Loney building. It has been around since 1906. Since then the club has been growing like a heart beat. More kids wanting to join and it wasn't till 1956 the Boys Clubs of America celebrated its 50th anniversary and received a U.S. Congressional Charter. Now in 2006 we are going to celebrate its 100th  anniversary!   So this is one reason I am making this website. To show all you guys out there about us, about the club, about our system to have fun, to learn, to grow! I am amazed by the growth of this club. Not many clubs have fancy equipment, or better things to do here. The one thing that counts is the volunteers  that devote there time to help, the staff who work here to see kids, teens, and teenagers grow & have fun in safe and caring environment!
