Why are the northern lights famous?

The northern lights is popular in movies like the polar express or balto. Since the northern lights are really famous and really pretty  they really seem to use the min movies that they think that might be great hits. Or maybe it might be in a web site such as mine. but the fact is that the northern lights are really beautiful that is what makes them one of the seven wonders of the world.

                      How are the northern lights made?                          Sun's energy production is way  far from even and fluctuates on an 11 year cycle. Maximum production coincides with  high sunspot activity when processes on the sun's surface throw particles far out in space. These particles are called the solar wind and cause the northern lights.
