Nutrition
Healthy Kids Club
Year round nutrition education provides our kids daily opportunities to learn the benefits of healthy eating and being physically active. In addition, Healthy Kids Club members learn basic food preparation skills.

Iron Chef
Competitors are chosen based on outstanding attendance and ability to learn the fundamentals of kitchen safety and nutrition taught during Healthy Kids Club. Only five teams will compete and they are comprised of one Healthy Kids Club member and no more than four family relatives.
Garden Club
The Garden Club cultivates nutrition through planting the food we eat. With the help of Linn County Master Gardner’s Healthy Kids Club Gardeners learn to grow healthy fruits and vegetables. Once the produce is ready to eat we pick and prepare our produce in the HKC nutrition classes.
